If your child becomes unwell, we will contact you immediately and ask that you collect them. Guidance on infectious diseases is given below:

| Swine flu' | When clear of symptoms for 5 days |
| Chicken pox | 6 days after last spot appears |
| Rubella (German measles) | After 4 days from when rash first appears |
| Measles | After 7 days from first appearance of rash |
| Mumps | 5 days after swelling has gone |
| Diphtheria, Jaundice, Meningitis | Once declared fit to return by a GP or other professional practitioner |
| Scarlet fever, Tuberculosis, Typhoid | Once declared fit to return by a GP or other professional practitioner |
| Whooping cough, Scabies | Once declared fit to return by a GP or other professional practitioner |
| Sickness/diarrhoea | When 48 hours free of symptoms |
| Conjunctivitis | Once all signs of infection have gone |
Please do not send sick children into nursery - we have not got the facilities to look after your child properly and other children and our staff may be infected.
